Patricia Lawman, PhD
Pat Lawman, Ph.D., was a Senior Research Scientist and Division Director of Cancer Molecular Biology at the Walt Disney Memorial Cancer Institute (WDMCI), where she coordinated the multifaceted molecular biology, gene targeting, gene therapy, gene delivery, and universal stem cell projects, which she initiated. Dr. Lawman received a Baccalaureate degree in Anthropology, a Master's degree in Molecular Biology from the Department of Plant Pathology and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the Department of Immunology and Medical Microbiology from the University of Florida where she was a Ford Foundation Pre-doctoral Fellow. Prior to joining the Research Division of WDMCI, she served as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Division of Hematology and Oncology within the Department of Pediatrics in the College of Medicine at the University of Florida and is a co-founder of Morphogenesis.
